What about Referrals?
"It's a ponzi"
"It's a pyramid"
"It's a scam"
I hear those words every time I talk about referrals. Affiliates. Multi-level Marketing.
Can we take one moment and think about this rally interesting concept. Word of Mouth is regarded as the most powerful marketing tool. Like, how can you beat the word of your trusted neighbor versus an actor holding a product that you know nothing about?
So then why does referrals and affiliate marketing get so much smack? If you as a company decide to turn the majority of your marketing funding into a program that gives back to it's users and community, instead of blasting their services overtly in our faces with the tenacity of a toy advertising around Christmas, then I am so not complaining. I would rather trust the services of a company that has a user base wanting to share a good product than pick one blindly just because I happen to have seen it blasted on the last 10 websites I visited while searching the topic.
I am not sure if others feel that way, but I must say that if you fear affiliate marketing, then you need to really give a look around at everything that you sign up for, every product you wear, and every link you click, and tell me that someone didn't make money getting you to do any of those things.
So with all that being said, everytime you sign up for a website, find out if it has a system that you could:
a.) be helping someone else out.
b.) helping yourself out.
c.) GET FREE STUFF A LOT OF THE TIME!!!!!
